Preserving wisdom, creating futures.

The House of Seshat Strategic Plan, 2026–2029.

Who we are

A knowledge management and cultural transmission institute working at the intersection of culture, policy, and power.

Our Strategic Plan (2026–2029) sets out what we are building over the next three years: interconnected bodies of work across history, art and culture, technology, and geopolitics, and the broader ecosystem of institutions, platforms, archives, and convenings we are developing to advance African thought and practice in the global arena of ideas.

What we are here to do

Our Mission

To advance African thought and practice in the global arena of ideas for the structural transformation of Africa.

Our Vision

An Africa that is the predominant author of its present and future.
