Democracy in the Feeds is a House of Seshat research project under our broader E-Democracy in Africa work, exploring how online platforms influence political conversations and civic life in Uganda. The study traces how narratives circulate, how influence is produced, and how citizens participate in election-related discourse online.
The work combined desk research, continuous digital ethnography, and large-scale data collection from online platforms, alongside qualitative analysis of emerging trends. These insights were further strengthened through a knowledge-sharing, validation, and co-creation workshop with journalists, researchers, and civil society actors.
The project has since evolved into a broader set of outputs designed to make the research accessible, interactive, and useful to wider audiences, while also providing resources for further research and engagement.
